Our Company
JBT Corporation is an American, family business success story.
Over 45 years ago, John McGourthy Sr. established Thermoset – a bonding company with roots in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. Starting with the goal of servicing locally concentrated small gas engine manufacturers with dry friction components, Thermoset evolved into a world leader in the production of non-woven carbon fiber friction materials.
After 16 years of service at Thermoset, Bryan McGourthy, John’s son, took what he had learned from his father’s company and started a metal fabrication operation of his own in 2009. In 2015, JBT Corporation acquired the non-woven friction material division of Thermoset and has since grown into a state-of-the-art manufacturer, offering full-service metal fabrication, friction materials and custom injection molding.
As an approved supplier to major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) worldwide, JBT’s position in the marketplace is a direct result of precise craftsmanship, combined experience amongst staff, continued customer satisfaction, and extensive quality control standards. JBT has the resources, equipment, technology, and control systems to provide a high-quality product at a competitive price with on-time delivery.
While small enough to provide personal attention to individual application requirements, JBT is equipped to handle orders of any size. Whether you need a handful or thousands of parts, JBT is interested in your order.
